چکیده

Dedicated to Herrn Prof. G. Hildebrandt on the occasion of his 60th birthday In connection with the production of highly collimated X-rays the study of extremely asymmetrical Bragg reflections became of interest. In this paper the so-called extended dynamical theory of X-ray diffraction will be tested experimentally. As a result of this investigations the optimum conditions for X-ray collimation by means of one asymmetrical Bragg reflection are being discussed.

Survey of the Use of X-ray Beam Collimator and Shielding Tools during Infant Chest Radiography

Background The use of shielding tools and X-ray beam collimator has extensively been advocated as effective methods to reduce radiation exposure to patients underwent radiological procedures. The aim of this study was to address the use of these protection measures during infant chest radiography. Material and Methods 348digital and/or analogue infant chest radiographs were reviewed that perfor...

Expanded Distorted-Wave Theory for Phase-Sensitive X-Ray Diffraction in Single Crystals

Diffraction of x rays is a widely used technique for studying structural information in condensed matter. One of the main advantages of this structural technique is that the diffracted intensities measured in experiments can be easily interpreted by a simple kinematic theory [1–3] that is based on the first-order Born approximation where single scattering events are the predominant mechanism. T...

Solving the Phase Problem Using Reference-Beam X-Ray Diffraction

A new method of obtaining Bragg reflection phases in an x-ray diffraction experiment is presented. It combines the phase-sensitive principles of multiple-beam diffraction and x-ray standing waves, and allows direct phase measurements of many multiple reflections simultaneously using a Bragg-inclined oscillating-crystal geometry. A modified-two-beam intensity function is devised to extract the p...

Direct measurements of Bragg-reflection phases in x-ray crystallography

We present a reference-beam x-ray-diffraction technique applied to a good-quality protein crystal. The technique is based on a multiple-beam diffraction principle and employs a modified oscillation camera in a Bragg inclined geometry, which allows a simultaneous measurement of both magnitudes and triplet phases of a large number of Bragg reflections from the sample. This work demonstrates that ...

Study on Mechanical and microcrystalline on hybrid nanocomposites by WAXS

The aim of this work is to probe the influence of nanoclay and turmeric spends content on microcrystalline of vinyl ester hybrid nanocomposites. A series of vinyl ester hybrid nanocomposites have been fabricated with varying amounts of TS viz., 0, 2.5, 5, 7.5 and 10 % w/w along with 2% nanoclay. The microcrystalline parameters such as crystallite size and lattice strain of vinyl ester hybrid na...
